Payment Methods
We currently accept PayPal as our payment method. This page explains how payment works, what to expect at checkout, and how your purchase is protected.
How We Accept Payment
All orders on slowix.com are paid through PayPal. PayPal is one of the most widely used and trusted payment platforms in the United States, and it gives you options for how you pay — whether that is your PayPal balance, a linked bank account, or a credit or debit card processed through PayPal.
You do not need a PayPal account to complete your purchase. At checkout, PayPal offers a guest checkout option that allows you to pay with a credit or debit card without logging in or creating an account.
Payment Options Through PayPal
When you select PayPal at checkout, you can pay using:
- PayPal balance — If you have funds in your PayPal account, they will be applied to your order
- Linked bank account — PayPal can draw directly from a connected bank account
- Credit card — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are accepted through PayPal
- Debit card — Most major debit cards are accepted through PayPal
- PayPal Pay Later — PayPal may offer buy now, pay later options depending on your account eligibility. These are subject to PayPal's own terms and approval process.
The specific options available to you at checkout are determined by PayPal based on your account and location. We do not control which PayPal payment options are presented to individual customers.
Purchase Information
Here is what happens from the moment you place your order to the moment it ships:
- Order confirmation — Once your PayPal payment is confirmed, you will receive an order confirmation email from Slowix. This email contains your order number, the items purchased, your shipping address, and your order total. Keep this email — you will need the order number if you contact us about your order.
- Payment confirmation — PayPal will send you a separate payment receipt to your PayPal email address. This confirms that funds have been transferred. If you do not receive a PayPal receipt within a few minutes of checkout, check your spam folder or log into your PayPal account to verify the transaction.
- Order processing — After payment is confirmed, your order enters our processing queue. Processing takes 1 to 3 business days. You will receive a second email with tracking information once your order has shipped.
- Currency — All prices on slowix.com are listed and charged in U.S. Dollars (USD). If your PayPal account is in a different currency, PayPal will apply its own currency conversion. We do not control exchange rates or conversion fees.
- Sales tax — Applicable sales tax is calculated based on your shipping address and displayed at checkout before you confirm payment. The amount shown at checkout is the final amount charged.
- Order total — The total you authorize through PayPal — including product price, applicable tax, and shipping — is the total charged. There are no additional fees added after checkout.
Security and Buyer Protection
Paying through PayPal means your financial information is never shared with us. We receive confirmation that payment was made, but we do not see your card number, bank account details, or PayPal login credentials at any point.
All pages on slowix.com, including checkout, are protected by SSL encryption. You can verify this by the padlock icon in your browser's address bar.
PayPal also offers its own Buyer Protection program for eligible purchases. If an item does not arrive or does not match the description, PayPal may offer an additional layer of dispute resolution beyond our own return process. When Payment Is Charged
Payment is authorized and captured at the time you place your order. We do not place a hold and charge later — the full order amount is collected when you confirm checkout through PayPal.
If an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed and we are unable to fulfill it, we will cancel that item and issue a full refund to your original PayPal payment method. Refunds from us back to PayPal typically process within 3 to 5 business days, after which PayPal's own timeline applies for the funds to appear in your account or on your card.
Failed or Declined Payments
If your payment does not go through at checkout, your order will not be placed. Common reasons for a declined PayPal payment include:
- Insufficient funds in your PayPal balance or linked account
- A card linked to your PayPal account that has expired or reached its limit
- PayPal's fraud prevention systems flagging an unusual transaction
- A bank blocking the transaction on their end
If your payment is declined, try the following:
- Use PayPal's guest checkout with a different card
- Check that your billing address matches what your bank has on file
- Contact your bank or PayPal support to find out if the transaction was blocked on their end

Refunds
Approved refunds are returned to your original PayPal payment method. We do not issue refunds by check, store credit, or any method other than the original payment used.
Once we process a refund on our end, it typically takes 3 to 5 business days for the funds to appear in your PayPal account. If you paid by card through PayPal, your card provider's own timeline then applies for the funds to show on your statement — this can take an additional 3 to 5 business days depending on your bank.

Common Payment Questions
- Do I need a PayPal account to buy from Slowix? No. PayPal offers a guest checkout option at the payment step. You can enter your card details directly without logging in or creating a PayPal account.
- Can I split my payment across two cards? We are not able to split payments across multiple cards or methods. If you want to use a partial PayPal balance, PayPal may allow you to cover the remainder with a linked card depending on your account settings.
- Why does my bank statement show PayPal instead of Slowix? Because payment is processed through PayPal, the charge on your bank or card statement will show as PayPal rather than Slowix. This is normal and expected.
- I was charged but did not receive an order confirmation. What do I do? Check your spam folder first. If the confirmation is not there, email us at support@slowix.com with your PayPal transaction ID and we will look up your order.
- Can I use PayPal Pay Later for a dress I need by a specific date? PayPal Pay Later options are subject to PayPal's approval and terms. If you are ordering for a specific event, we recommend ensuring payment is confirmed as quickly as possible, as your order does not begin processing until payment clears.
